Recently, Powston sent me their latest Ethernet dongle, a significant improvement—installing it was virtually plug-and-play. This upgrade reinforced my appreciation for their commitment to user-friendly solutions. A key advantage of Powston is its independence from electricity providers, although it integrates seamlessly with my chosen provider, LocalVolts, whose dynamic buy/sell rates match AEMO’s prices, fluctuating every five minutes. Having previously used Amber, another electricity provider, I can confidently say that Powston’s system combined with LocalVolts offers exceptional reliability and performance, unlike Amber’s SmartShift, which I found consistently disappointing along with their customer service. While other solar companies set modest expectations by promising "zero-dollar" electricity bills, Powston’s technology enables me to achieve significantly better returns, substantially reducing the payback period for solar and battery investment. With decreasing government rebates and an increasingly unstable grid, Powston’s technology helps me maximise my ROI effectively.
